One On One Interview With Former TNA Knockout Mickie Knuckles

What made you become a wrestler?
I remember getting to go to the Louisville Gardens with my sisters and I was standing up against the guardrail. In the ring was Downtown Bruno vs. Ms. Jackie. Watching her in there, ready to fight anyone, it was inspiring. I wanted to be a wrestler then. Thanks to some luck of the Irish, I was trained like I was and basically told I was given no special treatment. Wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

What do you like about wrestling? / What do you not like about wrestling?
I have always said that the one thing about this business that I hate, it’s the business. I love being in the ring.

What type of music do you listen to?
Anything from country to rock, and jazz to pop. If it’s a good song, then it’s a good song no matter it’s genre.

What's your favorite song?
Hollywood Undead’s “We Never Going Down.” It cracks me out and I jam out to it.

Do you have any funny backstage stories you like to share?
Got a lot of them.....Going to have to watch the next shoot interview for them...;)

What do you feel is your biggest asset?
Um....I really don’t know.

What was it like entering a arena with thousands of fans shouting and looking at you?
It’s an adrenaline rush like nothing else I have ever experienced. Heel or Baby Face. You can just feed off of it and it’s almost like a drug.

Did you make any close friends while wrestling?
I have a lot of good friends because of wrestling. Lost some good ones to.

You friends with any tna knockouts to this day?
I stay in contact with some.

You coming back to tna wrestling?
I don’t know. Rumor is they are trying to shut down the women’s division.

How did you feel when you got that leg injury?
If you’re asking about the amount of pain, it was horrible. I would not put my worst enemy through that. As far as personal life, breaking my leg is the best thing that could have happened to me.

If you were a fan of the sport as a child, who were some of your favorites?
Sherri Martel, Chris Benoit, Undertaker, Sting (yes I was a sting mark), Aja Kong Mayumi Toyota, Bull Nakano, Ms. Texas (Jackie) and many more.

Was there anyone that you credit for inspiring you to do what you do now?
There are alot of people I give credit for inspiring me. Most wrestlers that I admire and some that are not.

Is there anything you would like to accomplish that you havent yet?
Visit every continent and wrestle on them.

What did your friends and family think when you informed them of your desire to become a pro wrestler?
Hated the idea. They were too afraid I would get hurt.... I am highly accident prone. Lol

What kind of workout do you do? And how many hours per week on average do you spend working out?
It varies, I run, sometimes do some yoga, lift weights.

Is there something most fans don't know about you that you would like 'em to know?
I love the outdoors. Hiking, fishing, camping.... everything but hunting. Not a fan of hunting really.

Who was your first match against and what was it like stepping the ring for the first time?
Hailey Hatred and I was nervous as shit.

What's your relationship with the other girls you work with?
I very rarely find girls that I don’t get along with.

Which wrestlers were the most fun to work with?
Lufisto, daisy Haze, Rachel Putski, Kong, Nikki Roxx, MsChif, Daffney, Tracy Brooks... I have so many.

What kind of advice can you give a young woman who might be considering getting into the Wrestling Business?
If you don’t handle pain well, this isn’t the place for you. RUNNNNN lol

Any Last Words for your fans out there?
