One On One With Former Women's Wrestler And Glow Legend Gremlina

What made you become a wrestler?
I have loved wrestling since I was 6 I grew up on NWA and early WWF (the 1970 and 1980s ) I wanted to be a valet or manager, I went to college for Mass Communications? Journalism major in college quit to go to work as an accountant in New York and then joined GLOW in 1987 Now I am an accountant again.


What do you like about wrestling? / What do you not like about wrestling?
The contact and entertainment is great. I love the sport.
I don't like all the tragedies and deaths and what the the sport has become today, I am old school about the sport.

What type of music do you listen to?
Classic Rock the 70's and 80's, Good Country Not redneck hillbilly country, I love Broadway musicals and show tunes and Classical and Jazz and Blues I like Variety

What's your favorite song?
Defying Gravity from the Musical WICKED

Do you have any funny backstage stories you like to share?
LOL If I told you I'd have to go into Witness Protection. Nah I have to be respectful of all the AWESOME Ladies I worked with,we generally talked and laughed and gossiped we were all in our 20's at the time. We talked matches etc...Clothes etc.. and before GLOW I had the pleasure and honor of meeting and sharing some fun and drinks with Quite a few NWA and WWF superstars of the 80's. The fun part was designing my GLOW Persona.

What do you feel is your biggest asset?
Tenacity, I never give up Loyalty to all the GLOW Ladies, and a good set of lungs my screech didn't come easy.

What was it like entering a arena with thousands of fans shouting and looking at you?
A rush better than any alcohol or drug the high of knowing you are the center of attention. It is a spark that ignites you.

Did you make any close friends while wrestling?
I love all my GLOW sisters - Big Bad Mama, Daisy-my awesome partner Dementia, Dallas, Corporal Kelly, Evangelina, Roxy all the gals too many to list and I don't want to forget any of them. We were an elite sorority. Female wrestlers were rare in the 80's

If you were a fan of the sport as a child, who were some of your favorites?
My younger days I don't recall I just liked the fighting. My Teens and 20's Roddy Piper, Bret Hart Ric Flair The Road Warriors The Freebirds The Undertaker.

Was there anyone that you credit for inspiring you to do what you do now?
Roddy Piper was and is an inspiration, My first crush LOL but as I matured his integrity and honesty and never quit attitude inspired me to never give up to stand my ground and do what is in my heart, and to have drive and determination.

Is there anything you would like to accomplish that you havent yet?
Well I want to do more in wrestling. I would like to do a Paranormal Investigation with TAPS from Ghost Hunters, go back to college and study Forensics, Write a novel and just keep enjoying my life to the fullest.


What did your friends and family think when you informed them of your desire to become a pro wrestler?
Are you out of your mind you are too small! I am only 4 feet 8 1/2 inches tall, but later they got a kick put of seeing me on TV.


What kind of workout do you do? And how many hours per week on average do you spend working out?
I should, but I have a busy work schedule and a husband so I really don't work out anymore. I am 46 I have slowed down a lot bad knee.


Is there something most fans don't know about you that you would like 'em to know?
Believe it or not I am shy. I have a Chromosone Defiecancy Turner's Syndrome which is why I am so small and look the way I do . I almost drowned in my car during a Flash Flood was rescued at the last minute by a true hero a Policeman and made National TV and The Weather Channel.

Who was your first match against and what was it like stepping the ring for the first time?
Gosh it was in Laughlin Nevada I think it was Sunny the California girl and It was an amazing experience. It was so intense I barely remember it here 23 years later.

What's your relationship with the other girls you work with?
I love all my GLOW sisters - Big Bad Mama, Daisy-my awesome partner Dementia, Dallas, Corporal Kelly, Evangelina, Roxy all the gals too many to list and I don't want to forget any of them. We were an elite sorority. Female wrestlers were rare in the 80's. They are wonderful strong beautiful Intelligent empowered women. I am honored to call them sisters.

Which wrestlers were the most fun to work with?
Daisy Dementia Corp Kelly Zelda all the GLOW gals were awesome to work. with.

What kind of advice can you give a young woman who might be considering getting into the Wrestling Business?
Be sure it's what you want and if it is go for it don't let anything stop you.

Any Last Words for your fans out there?
I love you all you are what made GLOW special you all rock you are the best fans in the world. You have kept GLOW going all these years. THANKS Hugz and Ankle bites.
