One On One With Current Women's Wrestler Ivy Fit

What made you become a wrestler?
I love challenge, I always wanted to see what I was capable of in an athletic kind of way so when I saw woman wrestling I though, could I do that?
What do you like about wrestling? / What do you not like about wrestling?
I love the physical part, the running, jumping, hitting, falling, the action the story behind it, is so entertaining. The ego that some people gain,ugh, just hate it.
Do you have any funny backstage stories you like to share?
No funny stories, sorry. I get sometimes too nervous to laugh.
What do you feel is your biggest asset?
My biggest asset, I would say my physical condition, I love the gym so I like to look and be fit.
Do you have much time to spend with your family?
Not really, between job and wrestling you don't have much time for family other than your partner.
If you were a fan of the sport as a child, who were some of your favorites?
I can't mention a name, I had a goal, I went for it, and I thanks to the higher power I'm still here.
Was there anyone that you credit for inspiring you to do what you do now?
I think that the realistic goals that I had I have accomplish, I wanted to be acknowledge as a good worker, I think I am.
What did your friends and family think when you informed them of your desire to become a pro wrestler?
My mom said, what is it that you are going to do now? I guess she wasn't surprise.
What kind of workout do you do? And how many hours per week on average do you spend working out?
I am for sure a gym freak. I have been weighlifting since I was 16,never stopped. I go to the gym at least 4 days a week.
Is there something most fans don't know about you that you would like 'em to know?
Most fans may think that you don't really care about them, well we do. We perform for them, trying to give them what they might want to see, you try to not let yourself or them down, you want them to live your pain and enjoy your success. We are here because we love wrestling and without their support, we are just two people in a ring hitting each other.
Who was your first match against and what was it like stepping the ring for the first time?
My first match was a tag match, I was the only girl in the ring. I have a picture in my facebook of that match. When I did a "plancha" like we call it or "crossbody" from the top rope I felt that I made it, I just wanted to perform and I did it, it was a great feeling of accomplishment.
What has surprised you the most about being a professional wrestler?
What surprised me the most in the person behind a character.
Which wrestlers were the most fun to work with?
There are to persons, La Tigueresa from Puerto Rico, I grew up watching her, I got to wrestle her and she was great to me, funny and helpfull and my fiance Ryan Bisbal, you know that you are safe,you have fun and everything goes smooth.
What kind of advice can you give a young woman who might be considering getting into the Wrestling Business?
Ladies if you are thinking in wrestling get your body ready for it, wrestling is real, the pain is real, you have to be ready everytime. This is a hard business like any other, be professional about it, keep a good attitude and if at first you don't succeed, get yourself into a ring and keep practicing.
Any Last Words for your fans out there?
To all the wrestling fans, keep on supporting the Indys women wrestling, don't just get used to what you might see on tv, we are a lot out there and we can really wrestle, I dare to say that we do it better.
